After earning a B.A. from Washington and Lee University and J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, William practiced general corporate and securities law with the Richmond, Virginia, law firm of Williams Mullen Christian Pollard & Grey. In 1986, he joined Prentiss Properties Limited, Inc., a Dallas-based real estate investment trust, where he served as a lease officer and then Southeast Region Director of Marketing. In 1991, he returned to his undergraduate alma mater to serve as Associate Director of Development. William joined Davidson & Garrard in 1996 and holds the CFP designation.
