David J. Hansen

David joined Davidson & Garrard as a portfolio manager in October 2009. He is a founding shareholder and director of Corner Stone Bank, N.A., based in Lexington, Virginia. David is the founder of Hansen Capital, LLLP, a special situations private investment partnership which commenced operations in 2003. From 2003 to 2009 he also maintained a legal practice focused on the formation and regulation of hedge funds, mergers, acquisitions and general corporate matters. Prior to 2003, David served as General Counsel for Magellan Health Services, Inc., a Fortune 1000 publicly-traded company. He is a 1980 magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University and a 1984 graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was named a Burks Scholar Teaching Fellow.
